During the festival there is no sowing, ploughing and cultivation. Mother Earth gets complete rest.

Village girls, believe that these three days, the Mother Earth is having her 'periods'. No sharp object is placed on earth. Girls do not walk barefoot. Many of them get new dress and play swings.

The women make delicious Pitha, an Indian sweet cake, made of rice flour and coconut crochet on slow fire prepared specially for the festival.They woke up early morning, had  bath and  wore new dresses.They ate Indian cake, dress them self and  play. They are thoroughly enjoying this Rajo festival.

The festival ends with a ritual bath after the third day and people get back to their daily work.
